Third time's the charm!

For anyone else who wants to try this for their own journal, apparently it is necessary to paste the code in in the html editing window, and not go to the rich text window at all. Or at least, I kept getting ugly html instead of a pretty graph on the posted page when I used the rich text window!

It's been only a short time but I've enjoyed being here too :) And I've really enjoyed having you in my journal as well. :)

I'm curious (and not a big deal) how did you find me? It was over at DW 'cause that's where you first added me I think. I assumed it was from pushing my archery comm on the DW_communities site.

I think I found you in the comments on someone else's journal, possibly arielstarshadow's. But I'm not certain.

It takes me a while to get names and identifying information stuck in my head in a useful fashion. Friending someone means I have repeated reminders for a while, which is good. Very helpful, eventually. But sometimes the memory of why I decided I wanted to friend someone eludes me.

I know, I used to keep notes on who I met where but it's been awhile since I've updated it.

My memory is slipping. I knmow a lot of people say that. It's true. I forget stupid things nad have a fear about alzheimers and forgetting in general. Sometimes in the morning I have to make a conscious effort to not put the liquid soap on my toothbrush instead of my toothpaste.

I tell myself it's just because I'm not a morning person.

I know it's not really the truth but ignore it.

I'm glad you friended me :)

My memory has always been very good for some things, and not so good at others. (I suspect this is true for everyone; but still names and faces have always been on my "hard to remember" list.)

If you're having memory issues you didn't have before, you should talk to your doctor; there's a lot of treatable reasons for this. My memory is sharper (and my creativity more active) again now that my sleep apnea is treated, for instance, and I very strongly regret not going in to get it treated sooner. Lack of effective sleep is only one of the treatable things, some of which, left untreated, can cause permanent damage.

We all break eventually, it's part of being alive. But you don't go to the doc to see if you are broken, you go to see if you can be fixed.

I'm enjoying having you as a friend here; take care of yourself.

Thank you. I know the stress isn't helping. I think that sleep is probably an issue, I"m exhausted from stress. I sleep light and with 4 cats and a partner who has nightmares.....some nights I don't sleep so well.

I know I should talk to my doc about a couple things but haven't. One reason is some of the stuff I've been experiencing could get my meds changed/reduced/pulled (long story that one, short version: I'm female to male transexual, preop and on testosterone which along with stress is a slight chance could possibly cause what I've been experiencing). I really don't want that. If anything I want the dose increased so I can get more results quicker.

I think I should give in to my desire to nap some weekends. I tell myself it's a waste of time and need to do chores, work on photos and stuff. I hadn't thought about lack of sleep causing permanent problems. Thank you.

And now, on that note, it's bed time. It's early, only 9:45pm but I'm wiped out after a frustrating day and need some time with a book and then the bed.

Goodnight my friend.

Goodnight, sleep well. Yes, do take naps when you can. If more sleep helps the memory and mood issues, talk with your partner about whether there's anything else that can be done to improve your sleep. Also ask your partner if you snore, or stop breathing in your sleep.

I was stopping breathing constantly, so I never hit a deep level of sleep, and kept having to "wake up" enough to breathe in, but I was totally unaware of that fact. My subjective experience was that I was sleeping, and not waking rested.

I don't remember hearing that testosterone causing sleep problems, memory problems, or the like.

However, if you can't get enough sleep on your own, and you can go to the doc with information about your sleep issues that clearly points to another cause, that should mean you don't have to worry.

Can I also say that I love that you are online as late as you often are? I know it's really late pm/early am your time, but it's 8pm my time. Usually my US friends aren't around so I don't get replies to my comments or entries until the next day. It's nice sometimes to know someone else is out there awake when I am, it feels less lonely.

I'm a night-owl by nature, when I can be. Once I get a job again, I'll have to keep earlier hours. But in the meantime, I can get to know people from all over, which I am enjoying. It brings different perspectives to things, much like traveling. (-:

Same here, I do better at night than in the am. I used to work a graveyard shift inspecting medical stents with a stereo microscope. I did fine. We were told that if we fell asleep we'd be off the job (some people did). I didn't, I did pretty well.

My posts used to be a bit more entertaining and less complaining but work has done my head in and my heart. It's been really hard and I try to not just complain so lately I don't say a lot about these days. I'm hoping this temp position in our company will help lighten things for my spirit (and my posts!)

Does it count the friendslocked entries too? Sometimes the info generators don't.
