I hope you will tell her you liked it! She's been a little overloaded on negative internet comments recently, so I'm sure it felt risky to her to post it publicly.
I tried, but she has comments disabled for non-Friends. Could you tell her, please?
It is sad that people use things like LJ and FB to bash one another. I guess it's sad that people use anything to bash one another to begin with, but I'm sorry that this happened to her.
Ahh, yes. Many barriers are double-edged swords, keeping out the good as well as the bad.
It's perfectly reasonable to put up barriers when you need them, of course, but it's important to keep in mind that if you don't allow comments from new people, the social network won't work to let you find new friends--and that's my favorite part of LJ, or one of them -- finding new friends.
Um, just a reflex after being savagely treated for daring to post in my husband's thread in an attempt to counteract all the trashing that occurred during and after our brief seperation. I think folks have gotten used to the fact that I now run both animaltofriends and this thread.
We'll probably start up a new joint thread when our lives get more back to 'normal' ( us'ns ;....) NORMAL!?), perhaps after the end of this year.
If you care to Friend me, I'll Friend you back. I don't bash people on LJ, or FB, and I believe that breakups, separations, what have you are painful and traumatic for all parties involved, and I do my best not to add to anyone's trauma.
