OK, so I've gone and created a filter to share at least some of my NaNoWriMo story this year with people. I included everyone who voted in my poll and I think I included everyone who's donated toward my writing in the last year or so.[Poll #1641739]The first chapter, at present, uses a cut tag, because I've had people complain when I don't use them, but not when I do.  However, I don't like the things, they slow down my reading.  And none of the people who complained when I forgot to cut tag flash fiction are in this group.

Oh, yeah, I plan to use the tag windycity for posts to this group, so if you miss a chapter they should be easy to find.

See you around!

One of the things I *really, really like* about Dreamwidth is the fact that cut tags can be expanded in place, so if you like to read things inline you can. OTOH it must not be all that important to me, because I don't post there much and still do almost all my reading on LJ.

What I like best about cut tags is that I can open them in another tab, in the background, and read them later after I've gone through my entire reading list to get caught up.

Someone told me it's possible, though not easy, to tell your own LJ friendslist to act as if there are no cut tags.

If you can set your settings to open cut tags in a separate window, can't you click on individual entries to put them in a separate window just as easily?

Yes, and I often do. But having the cut tags means less scrolling to get past the entry that I've decided to postpone.

I'm really pretty OK either way.

I'm more just commenting on cut tags in general; my time is as such that I simply can't read everyone's NaNo stuff :(

'tis all right. I can't both write it and read everything I want to either.

a propos of nothing, I have taken the liberty of adding you to my LJ list. Recip or not as preferred :)

Thank you! And welcome.

I'll go peek sometime, though right now I'm behind on my NaNo word count.

I'll abstain from the poll, since I'm the person who disabled cut tags on her friends page. Though I still don't remember how. :) I asked Level_Head how to do it some years back and he told me.

I don't mind either way for the tags. I only read my friends list on LJ most the time anyway, I don't have time for comms at LJ at the moment. So for me it's whatever is easiest for you :)
