Mural - Update 1

The Niece decided how big she wanted the moon to be, and we marked the center with a bit of painter's tape with a dot in the middle. And we're adding more detail. And then we ran off to Michaels to get some more colors, so we can add details. So, I'm off to do some more painting, but first here's the initial update:


So, if this mural were on your bedroom wall, what details would you want added?

I don't have any suggestions, but I like how it looks thus far!

Trees! A village without any would feel sad and crowded to me, unless perhaps it was very tiny and there were trees on the outskirts.

Maybe a clock tower? Or a lighthouse, if it's coastal?

Today, my niece requested a clocktower! I know she's looked at some of these posts; maybe she was listening to you. :-D

We're going to try to find a nice flat alarm clock that looks like the top of a clocktower, and mount it in the corner where her bed will be, paining a tower underneath.

I know you're well underway with this but to add my (belated) 2 cents I would want an owl flying somewhere. It wouldn't have to be very big, could be a shadow of an owl flying in the distance.

I would too! The niece, who grew up in the era of Harry Potter, however, thinks owls are too normal. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if one ends up in there somewhere.

And there will be at least one cat.
