I have a story called Boney Fingers which will appear in the upcoming Magicking in Traffic anthology.

As the story opens, the protagonist is busking in a Chicago subway.

I will be starting a three-month temp job soon. It's not the permanent job I need, but I'm still excited. It's at a big enough firm that it might lead to something permanent if they like me.

I got a call from someone who wants to adopt the black kitten. So one of my cuties should be going to his new home after work tomorrow.

Yes, music was fun. Despite not having practiced much lately my fingers behaved and so did my brain, when I did silly things like improvising a harmony and playing in a different key than the chords on the paper.

Of course, after that, I was too energized to fall asleep on time, and am really sleepy today as a result. *sigh* But still grinning.

Congrats on the story in the anthology! And semi-congrats on the temp position? I'm sorry it isn't a permanent one but at least it is a job for now and hopefully will lead to something else. If nothing else, not having unemployment on your resume is always a good thing.
