I stayed up late last night, finishing jewelry (mostly), posting about it, and watching Anime with My Angel.

Went to sleep after a bath, feeling quite happy and relaxed, planning to wake (a little bit late) and write.  The clarity of the memories brought on by finding my old jewelry led me to believe I'd be in good form after a bit of rest.

Instead stabbing, excruciating pain in my lower abdomen woke me from a very deep sleep, and I groggily staggered to the bathroom. I felt marginally better after a bower movement. Briefly. As soon as I laid down it felt worse again, and I staggered up again, grabbed the laptop and headed back to the bathroom to expell liquid stuff from my bowels.  Sigh.  Something I ate yesterday must have had wheat or corn in it.  I expected another bout, and so sat down in front of the computer, too foggy to do more than clicky games.

I'm guessing it was the organic tomato soup.  I've had the rice noodles repeatedly, and ditto with the strawberry ice cream, and the mulberries from our tree, and everything else I can remember eating yesterday, with no problem.

Eventually, I was sleepy enough to lay down again, and instead of waking sometime mid-day, I didn't wake again until 4:30.  Ugh.  My stomach was (and is, as I write) still not really happy.  It's amazing what a few weeks of having my middle feel good nearly all of the time does to help me really notice both the discomfort and the drain on my energy level and ability to focus when it's back to feeling out-of-sorts.  That used to be "normal" for me--the less pleasant end of normal, but still.

I may have to resign myself to making tomato soup myself, with fresh tomatoes and milk.

My Angel woke too, and headed downstairs to feed cats.  I sat down at the computer to try to wake up.

And immediately got called downstairs to help with white-colored melt from our freezer.  Apparently, she'd not gotten the door closed tightly last night. Some stuff was still frozen, but a lot was partially thawed, and a lot was messy from ice-cream that had been on its side thawing and leaking out over everything.  Some stuff ended up in the compost, some stuff in the trash (anything with wheat that My Angel doesn't want wasn't worth salvaging for humans, with my kid in Australia for two+ weeks still), some in the refrigerator, and some carefully upright back in the freezer.

When the temperature in the freezer didn't start dropping after we'd cleaned up the mess, with visions of having to call a repairman (on a holiday weekend), we unplugged it to reset the computer chips, and watched with some trepidation until the LCD numbers on the front started to head down.

So, breakfast was unintentionally thawed salmon (it was cooked on purpose, however) and partially thawed lemon ice cream.

And I'm sleepy again, at the time of evening I usually perk up, with no new words and no new brush strokes to show for the day.  *sigh*
