In reading flash fiction, I see that one very popular model is to have some twist at the end, some detail or collection of details that shift the reader's perspective.
But I admit, if I can get any of my readers even a little more aware of how much we are a part of the natural world and dependant on it for our health and prosperity, I will be pleased.
