I hate paying bills.

That's all, I guess.

I'll stop procrastinating now.

Or now...

I love auto pay. I never forget those.

That's the reason I don't use auto-pay either, even though I could save some money on my phone bill if I did...

The paycheck is supposed to be deposited on a certain day, but it often doesn't show up in the account until the next day, or occasionally even the second day. This would mean that an auto-payment would hit the account when the balance wasn't enough to cover it, incurring large fees, which would make the balance even lower, etc., etc. It's easier to just pay the damn bills manually, either by mailing a check or by paying online.

I once (long ago, before I knew you) used PayPal to pay LJ 99 cents to send someone a "virtual gift" on their birthday, not knowing that the paycheck hadn't been officially recorded yet, and we got a warning from the bank that the 99 cents had theoretically made us overdrawn. (Since this was the first time, and since it was such a tiny amount, and since the paycheck arrived less than 24 hours later, they "forgave" us, and we didn't have to pay the fee, thank the gods!)

You'd think that with all the high-tech electronic trading going on in the banking world, all transactions would be more or less instantaneous... but noooooo....
