Honesty and the Sylph

Of course!

As you walk through the garden, you see an old bed, old shelves, ugly plastic border thingies and other stuff piled neatly against a fence under our oldest lilac. The City has declared this the week that we must leave big stuff out to be collected in my neighborhood, if we want it collected for free. One week in a year is hardly enough, but it's better than none, I suppose. I thank you for your patience; by the time we finished dragging the stuff in the basement that got moldy outside, I was totally wrecked last night.

Near my first spring dandelion, we find honesty floating upside down. Is he reversed, indicating that you might need to examine whether you are being honest with yourself? Or is he merely upright with respect to your hemisphere? Either way, truth matters--and in matters where it's not about true and false, as in contract negotiations or relationships, clarity matters. Assumptions about even the most basic things (like gravity?) aren't always obvious to all the parties involved.

While we are pondering Honesty, Taitin the Sylph whizzes by, spinning Honesty around like a top. He shakes his head at her, but smiles, and she offers her hand. He takes her hand and gracefully inverts himself to stand on the grass, and she sits on his shoulder. Taitin reminds us that ideas are wild and free, and it's great to entertain them for a while, but eventually you need to use that intellect to do more than generate more of them. It's time to look at them carefully, pick the one that's the best for you in this exact moment, polish it, shine it up with all the fairy dust available (Taitin is happy to share) and change reality.

If you are being challenged by a lack of honesty or clarity, or if your mental defenses are working a bit too well and obscuring something you need to see clearly, Taitin's message is that your intellect is an important tool in discerning that. But first, she says, she hopes we have some chocolate. Honesty's face brightens at that prospect as well, so we head inside to rummage in the kitchen and find refreshments.

I don't know that I've found you anything to warm you for the winter, but I can offer tea or hot chocolate!
