Here goes!

Me to poor, sore stomach: So, what do you want to eat?
Stomach: Meat
Me: We're out of meat. What about soup?
Stomach: All of the soups we have found that have no wheat, corn, or canola oil are vegetarian.
Me: Sad but true. How about mac and cheese? That has protein.
Stomach: Ewwww.
Me: Beans? Lentils? They have protein.
Stomach: I have too much gas already. How about this buffalo jerky?
Me: This hot *cajun spiced* buffalo jerky?
Stomach: Yeah, that sounds good.
Me: You're crazy.
Stomach: No, I'm hungry. You need protein. Eat the buffalo jerky.
Me: But you are already hurting! It's a bad idea.
Stomach: It's the only thing that looks good. Eat it.
Me: ...
Stomach: Trust me. Eat it.

When I am sick, I usually trust what my body tells me. Good luck!

Yeah, me too, or I wouldn't have had that conversation at all.

Did it work?

So it wasn't, ummm...
jerking you around?

I am Dandelyon's unreasonable stomach.

Well then,

Shape up, you stomach you, I have things to accomplish!

Love the conversation. Do let us know which of you was right.

The jerky worked out just fine. My stomach still isn't back to normal, but it felt better, not worse, after eating it.

Gut instinct really works. ;~)

Hoo, I've been there. Just replace 'buffalo jerky' with 'dairy product.'

Hmmmm...hot peppers aren't normally a problem for me, but hot pepper on an inflamed and sore body part usually isn't a good idea. I doubt this is a good analogy, really.

But it's no fair that dairy is an issue for you! Milk is a WONDERFUL thing. You have my sympathy.
