Writing isn't enough

I thought about doing the A to Z challenge again, but life has been uncooperative. However, maybe I can do an alphabet worth of haiku in a spirit of companionship this month.

Today, they're doing "A"

A is for Author
Writing is just not enough
But it's where you start

Now I must pay some bills before they're overdue and get some sleep before work in the morning.

But I've got to say, the day job and paying bills and chores and taxes are also, most emphatically, not enough.

Absolutely agree with you. Without that spark of creativity and a means to indulge it, day-to-day life would just be nothing but drudgery.

Someday, I dream, I will be able to support my life my creativity. I don't know if I can make that dream a reality, but it's not impossible.

I currently find myself with three full-time jobs. Writing, editing, mothering. You'd think that a house full of adults would mean the mom-thing would ease up some, but no, not really. House stuff still needs doing. But I'm juggling! It's exhausting.

Yes, trying to keep up two careers (to say nothing of life) at the same time is exhausting! But worth it.
