I'm not sure getting laid off constitutes good news, but it does present an opportunity -- to move, to change -- that we'd be crazy not to take full advantage of.

It's an auspicious time of year for it.

Getting laid off gave me time to write and to explore this strange new world of publishing in the internet age. I hope in the long run, this proves to be more opportunity than problem!!!
