Rose and Bay Award Eligibility
The Rose and Bay awards are open for nomination. You can nominate your favorite creative crowdfunded projects for this award. Here is a post linking to each nomination page (fiction, art, poetry, webcomics, other creative projects, and donors are this year's categories).
Anyone is eligible to make nominations, though a creator cannot nominate their own work. Each of you is welcome to nominate any crowdfunded project you've been enjoying.
A sample nomination, with Torn World information, is as follows:
Project Title: Torn World
Creator Name: Ellen Million, Elizabeth Barrette, Deirdre Murphy, Valerie Higgins, and others
Link: http://www.tornworld.net
Category: Other Project (an original unique shared world with fiction, poetry, mythology, art, and encyclopedia-style articles about the world)
Summary: Torn World is a shared science-fantasy world where the co-creators write, draw, paint, and othewise create a complex world by telling the stories of the people of that world.
Crowdfunding Method: Torn World is crowdfunded through subscriptions to the site, sponsorships to specific stories, and donations to the creators during monthly Muse Fusion events, where the Torn World creators create cool new stuff in response to the prompts and questions posed by the audience.
Torn World is eligible in the "other" category, since Torn World includes poetry, fiction, mythology, art, and worldbuilding articles. If you wish to nominate Torn World, the other category nomination page is here.
I also crowdfunded other projects:

I also crowdfunded other projects:
- Dandelyon's Verse (for instance, Green Eyed Friend and Grandmother's Stories). My poetry landing page is here, and it includes poetry since I started the project
- Fireborn, which I had hoped to finish in 2010; I still owe you the end of this story, and will get bak to it.. The landing page for Fireborn is here.
- Feather-Blessed, my series of short stories about girls turned into dragons by a magical feather. You start the series here.

Thank you!
And thank you for nominating Christopher Bingham too--I didn't know he had an LJ, though it doesn't appear he uses it much.
And thank you for offering to nominate my card draws! I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying them that much.
There is definitely as aspect of creative writing involved, especially for the Torn World disk readings, where I'm setting the scene as well. What do you think--would it be beneficial if I set the scene for other types of readings too?
I'm thinking I will probably yes to your offer. I'd like to talk about it with a couple of people first; if I do say yes, I'll create a landing page for it and get back to you with the link, so it's a little easier for people to check it out.
card draws
I am happy to wait for you to decide whether you'd like to accept the nomination.
And one of these days, I'll get more time to explore more of your other work. :) So many interesting projects, and so little time!
Re: card draws
To use a very different metaphor, I found it helpful to get a perspective on my resume from someone not in the legal field, it helped me to rewrite it for applying to jobs where the person hiring didn't have the same background.

What do you think of it?
Thank you again.
