Though, with the DAW at my fingertips, I can make a new track or try a new thing without destroying what I already have, and can delete the experiments that don't make the song better.
With acrylic paints, if I make it worse I can always paint over the mistake, but that's essentially having to redo what I'd already done well. That's definitely a failure of knowing when to stop!
